Appalachian Journal takes 2 poems!

I am surprised and deeply honored that Appalachian Journal: A Regional Studies Review has accepted two poems! “Ankylosing Spondylitis as Hex” and “Considering a Six-Pack Yoke” will appear in 2026. After many years living in Kentucky and Tennessee, having the privilege of meeting folks from the region (and briefly marrying into an Appalachian family), the mission of the journal to publish scholarly and creative work on the region hits my heartstrings. I’m really proud to be included for their readers!
