Short fiction accepted at The Collidescope!

I am shocked to announce that the first piece of fiction I’ve written in more than 12 years, “How Mythical Creatures End Up Becoming Librarians,” has been accepted at The Collidescope! I’m very excited about this one – it started out as a verrrry long poem (far too long for most contemporary poetry magazines), so I decided to test its legs as a piece of short fiction. It appears to have worked, according to Editor Salis! The piece will appear on May 18, 2025. Editor Salis’s decision also reminded me I should probably add my short fiction publications to the site (I have a Pushcart nomination for some of it), so that page has been added to the site for those interested. I may need to return to some of my longer pieces and see if a slight transformation might make them more marketable…
