San Pedro River Review accepts “My Mother Asks Why I Never Relax”

I am very happy to have opened my email this morning to a lovely acceptance from San Pedro River Review for my poem “My Mother Asks Why I Never Relax”! Look for it in the next issue, August-ish. It always feels like a nod from the universe when a poem I think is good actually finds a home with editors who think it is good enough to fit into their very limited pages. I know there are many incredible poets out there and am privileged to read a lot of their work not just in the books and chapbooks I buy and lit mags I subscribe to, but as a reader for a magazine and as a poetry editor for a small press. I’ll do a whole ‘nother post on what a joy that work is for me, but for now, I’m grateful my work resonated with the SPRR editors, and proud to join the many other talented writers who have placed their work there!
